Had a fantastic stay! The location was perfect, just minutes from the beach. The cozy family suite was immaculate and had a beautiful decor. Alan went above and beyond, making us feel welcome and even prepared fresh bacon sandwiches at an early hour for us. Our kids loved the place, and the overall atmosphere was warm and inviting.

Absolutely loved the grilled seafood near the Grand Hotel Swanage, a proper feast for the senses! The breakfast at the Rookery was a gem—cooked to perfection with quality ingredients. The hosts were truly welcoming, making you feel right at home with their genuine hospitality.
Just a heads-up on parking—if it's busy, you might need to park on the street. No stress, though. we found a spot easily, and it didn’t dent our vibe one bit!

The welcome from Alan and Charlene was warm and informative. The breakfast selection was expansive, catering to various tastes and preferences.
There was a slight lack of attention to cleanliness in the common areas.

Perfect beach getaway!
We spent 2 nights in a lovely triple room. The bed was super comfy, and the shower was spotless. Breakfast was a treat with a full English served up with a smile. The only hiccup was the WiFi being a bit spotty at times.

Highly recommend it for solo travelers
Had a friendly welcome from the host who even helped with my luggage, makes a difference you know. Breakfast was freshly cooked and plentiful like they cared if I was happy or not, which I liked.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but for the quality, it’s acceptable.

the rookery b&b is the best! alan and charlene welcomed me with a super friendly vibe, made me feel right at home. my room was really comfy with a cool decor, and breakfast was delish, lots of choices. 5 mins to the beach which was perfect for my dive trip. also, they showed they care by making me a bacon sarnie early, loved that!
wifi was a bit sketchy sometimes and a lil noisy at night from outside.

I appreciated the tasteful decor throughout The Rookery, which added to its inviting ambiance. The clean, well-maintained spaces, combined with easy access to the nearby beach, made it a perfect destination for a relaxing getaway.
More age-friendly bathroom fixtures would be beneficial.

I had a lovely stay here for a couple of nights, enjoying the spotless room and the fantastic breakfast, which was a real treat. The peaceful garden and cozy lounge were perfect for unwinding after a day out. Just wish the hot water took a bit longer to get going, but overall, it was great! 😊
